LEGO Disney Princess Jasmine’s Exotic Palace is the most recent set I’ve tried my hand at. Like the Little Mermaid set, it was a variety of pieces that were just asking to be puts on a MILS board. There were fewer items and they were smaller, so I made a bigger addition of a whole building, filling it with some of the extra pieces that the kit came with. I also decided I wanted to get the Magic Carpet flying, and not just flying, but at a jaunty angle, as I can’t imagine a magic carpet having extremely straight motion.
An interesting thing about what is available from Lego regarding the film Aladdin is that Jasmine is part of the Disney Princess line, and therefore, has that particular form factor for her minifigure. Aladdin and the Genie, on the other hand, are in the style of the usual ranges. This results in Aladdin being shorter and a different color from Jasmine, while in the movie, he is slightly taller than her and has about the same skin tone as she does. I couldn’t resist adding them in despite the minor discrepancies.
