Chris’s Birthday Legos

We have been having a fairly manic time lately. My computer is at the end of its life, so we have had to shop around for a new laptop. Chris has had multiple courses in Phoenix proper for his new job, which has been added travel for him (though his new work paid for the courses, so that’s a plus – free learning). Of course, we are still thinking of things we don’t have that exist in most people’s houses all the time and are grateful for Amazon’s ongoing existence as same day to two day delivery makes correcting this much easier.

In the midst of all this, we had our birthdays. My presents are hardly something I can film anything about as they were all Doctor Who books. I can heartily recommend the 11th Doctor comics from Titan, but other than that, not much more.

Chris’s on the other hand were much more bloggable.

He got two sets, one on his birthday proper, a train station:

The second he hasn’t built yet (as they were both quite big), but it may go with the first:

Have a look at a short video:

These are some of the biggest Lego sets he’ s had in years. This is actually a knock on effect of moving. We didn’t have storage room in Brighton. In fact, space was such an issue that we didn’t even have a toaster; we just used the grill in the cooker. More than that though, we didn’t have room for big projects or space to leave something out for a while if the process of making it took more than one sitting.

He has actually bought two desks to stick together for just such occasions:

Fun, nerdy fact. The word Lego comes from the Danish words for play well, lege godt.
