Minor Differences: Grape vs Blackcurrant and the Moon

We have continued experiencing minor differences.

One is the existence of grape soda. This is part of a wider trend of artificially colored food based differences. In the US, purple candies and drinks usually mean grape, for instance,  the purple skittle in the US is grape. In the UK, purple is usually reserved for blackcurrant. The skittle is blackcurrant flavored and grape soda just doesn’t exist to the best of our knowledge as a common thing. There is a common soft drink there called Ribena, which is a purple liquid that is blackcurrant flavored and very slightly healthier in that it has added vitamin C and possibly some actual fruit juice.
