Summer Solstice 2021

Each year, on the longest day, I take a picture of myself and note that the sun is at the highest point in the sky for that year.

Phoenix is at a latitude of 33° north meaning that it is about 10° away from the tropics and hence the sun is nearly overhead during the summer solstice.

It’s also rather warm today. At the time of shooting this the temperature was 111°F and on previous days it has hit 118°F.

This is our first video in well over a year so we thought that this would be a good time to create another one. Hello everyone!
