We woke up to a beautiful day and had another dip in both the sea and the pool. Since it was a ‘proper’ hotel, they had a bit nicer breakfast as well (hot food beyond those waffle makers).
We headed into Daytona Beach proper. It turns out it is one of the few beaches in the world you can drive on because the sand is quite firm. As road trippers, naturally we had to do this. Check out the very cool footage of us and the Dodge on Daytona:
After cruising around on the beach, we went to a Barnes & Noble, as I am in search of the 9th Doctor #4 comic. As of the time of writing, I have yet to find it, but we did speak to someone who was originally from D.C. while I picked up an oolong tea. She went to Florida for university and never went back north. She said she loved it and in no way missed winter. By the way, a little thing called the Daytona Speedway happened to be across from that particular Barnes & Noble:
