Each year, on the longest day, I take a picture of myself and note that the sun is at the highest point in the sky for that year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phoenix is at a latitude of 33\u00b0 north meaning that it is about 10\u00b0 away from the tropics and hence the sun is nearly overhead during the summer solstice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s also rather warm today. At the time of shooting this the temperature was 111\u00b0F and on previous days it has hit 118\u00b0F. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
