After weeks of moving, finding a flat and filling it, we finally had enough free time on our hands to check out the local area. We are about a mile one way from shops either way, so we thought we’d go for a bit of a walk.<\/p>\n

Being a mile away from shops is quite good by US standards, but still new to us, as in the UK, we were about a 5 minute walk from a\u00a0small\u00a0grocery store<\/a> and a 15 minute walk from a grocery store I actually liked.<\/a>\u00a0Our new shops are a 30 minute walk at the closest. Fortunately though, like most large American cities, the Phoenix area has Uber<\/a>, so we took our first Uber in Arizona on the way back.<\/p>\n
