Texas<\/a>\u00a0is certainly big enough to be\u00a0its own region. Despite this, it was also a bit of a crossroads state as well. It is surely a bigger one, but even so, it had both Western and Southern qualities. The plant life also seemed to be intermediate. It still had some of the plants from the big Eastern forest, but they weren’t doing as well, where as it was still wet enough not to be a desert proper like New Mexico. A downside to Texas was it has lots of big, angry looking insects. It also apparently has lots of cat and dog eating pests like large birds, which means most Texans need to keep their animals indoors unless they are big enough to fight off another large animal. \u00a0Some major upsides to Texas were the low prices (other than Austin<\/a>, which is popular enough to be quite expensive compared to the rest of the state). Texans also tend to really love Texas and they were some of the friendliest people in the country. We had a great time there.<\/p>\n

Two things that people say that are entirely true about Texas is that everything really is bigger in Texas:<\/p>\n

Texans also just liked creating cool, weird things more frequently than anywhere else:<\/p>\n

\"2015-09-17It is also true that Texas is in the Bible Belt. It may be richer than the rest, but it is still very Evangelical Christian and very patriotic:

One thing that is fantastic about Texas is its gloriously delicious Tex Mex. Nos gusta mucho:\u00a0\"2015-09-13<\/p>\n

Our favorite city<\/strong> in terms of viability was Dallas<\/a>. Dallas seemed extremely well run, in that even being huge, it wasn’t too hard to get around. It had plenty of work and a drier climate than much of the rest of Texas, though it gets a lot of those tornados along with Oklahoma, so that is a downside.<\/p>\n

Runner up<\/strong> goes to San Antonio<\/a> for having a very low cost of living and its lovely downtown river walk. A downside is it is still quite humid there and we weren’t sure how much tech industry it had.<\/p>\n

Honorable mention<\/strong> goes to\u00a0Rio Frio<\/a>\u00a0because tubing in Texas for the first time was strange and lovely and Texans know how to have fun. We met loads of them there and had a fantastic time.<\/p>\n
