<\/a><\/p>\nOur experience was almost instantly excellent. Both people at the welcome center were a) extremely welcoming and b) extremely informative. They helped us find an absolutely stellar motel, by far, the best we have stayed at in what is now up to 18 states.<\/p>\n
It is called the Knotty Pine Motel<\/a>\u00a0in Bennington<\/a>.\u00a0The bed and shower were both good, which is obviously very important, but more than that, it was immaculately clean and pleasant looking and they trust<\/strong> their guests. Most motels we’ve been to practically bolted everything down they\u00a0could (out of fear we’ll all knick things I suppose) while this place had a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, a kitchen sink and a stove top with an assortment of dishes, pots, pans, silverware, a kettle and other cooking aids. We felt so much more at home as a result and we were able to do some lovely “home” cooking:<\/p>\n As nice and comfy as it was, it still did retain the thing that makes motels convenient for longer term traveling. You could still just pull right up to your room and unpack from there. I loved that we got the niceness of a well designed and unusually\u00a0trusting hotel with the convenience of a true motel.<\/p>\n They also do an excellent breakfast, which we were able to combine with our left over fresh food. They had plenty of nice yogurts, coffees and breads to take to your room, but given we had left over bacon, I was able to apply that bread to some bacon sandwiches<\/a> for both of us in the kitchenette.<\/p>\n We had room 19 by the way. We were told not every room has the full kitchenette.<\/p>\n Naturally, we had to try some Vermont cider. It was pretty good. So far we quite like Vermont \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<\/a><\/a><\/p>\n
